Various print and television media outlets recently reported on a judge’s ruling to dismiss all charges, which were filed against a local high school principal, due to an alleged incident involving a student.

Barry Covert, the attorney for the defendant in this matter, filed a motion to have the charges against his client dismissed, successfully arguing that “the facts were facially insufficient to sustain charges” in the matter.

Media reports indicate that after the judge in this case viewed video evidence of the alleged incident, he repeatedly told the principal he did not do anything wrong and acted completely appropriately. All charges in the matter were dismissed with prejudice.
